A Goulburn couple say their stomachs have been ‘all turned up’ after discovering they won $1 million in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales entry was one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3925, on Wednesday 27 November 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
A NSW Lotteries official called the pair this morning, who were busy doing some chores around the house and completely oblivious to their million-dollar windfall.
“Oh my god! You’re joking?” the winning woman questioned.
“No, you’re joking, surely?
“My stomach is all turned up!
“Isn’t it funny, my husband was washing the dishes after breakfast and I was just about to hang the washing and I said to him ‘We could be rich you know. We will have to check this ticket after we’ve done these jobs.’.
“And it’s true, we are rich, we are millionaires!
“I’m stunned!
“Honey, we’ve won $1 million, we really have!” she screamed out to her husband, who erupted into cheers.
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the surprised woman thought of her family first.
“Gosh I don’t know what we will do with our prize. We will share it with our family of course,” she explained.
“We also might go on a holiday, maybe somewhere we’ve never been in Australia.”
The million-dollar winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket was purchased at NewsXpress Goulburn, Shop Sp017, Goulburn Plaza, 217 Auburn Street, Goulburn.
