An East Maitland woman has promised to buy her family a boat after winning $201,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales woman won the guaranteed 1st prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1174, drawn Monday 10 December 2018. The winner’s entry also won a consolation prize of $1,000, rounding up her total win to $201,000.
The unsuspecting winner was blown away when a NSW Lotteries official called her this afternoon to break the exciting news, admitting the surprise had left her shaking.
“Oh my god,” she squealed.
“Are you kidding me?
“Oh my god that is so good, I am so excited right now!
“I am shaking! I have never won anything before!
“This is amazing!
“Thank you so much!”
The woman revealed that she’d only just started playing Lucky Lotteries and couldn’t believe she’d already won a major prize.
“When I saw it was at $30 million I thought, why not, you never know,” she said.
When asked how she might spend her windfall, the ecstatic woman knew exactly how she’d like to use her prize.
“We’ve been looking at a boat that we really, really, really like and this could buy us that boat,” she explained.
“We haven’t had the money to buy it before now so I am so excited that we finally can!
“My husband is going to be stoked! I can’t wait to go tell him the news.
“This is going to be the best Christmas present I’ve ever received!
“I’m still shaking!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of two consecutive numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $30.76 million for draw 1175 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.93 million for draw 10261.
