The long-time player held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4617, drawn Saturday 18 October 2025. He looks forward to a total prize of $1,303,392.97.

The delighted man shared the excitement of uncovering his million-dollar ticket, admitting he must have checked it “about 1,000 times” to be sure he wasn’t dreaming.

“Thank you very much! This has made our day!” he exclaimed.

“We’ve checked the ticket about 1,000 times since discovering the news. We kept asking ourselves, ‘Is it true?’.

“Our family has played a System 8 ticket together for 50 years, and I buy a QuickPick every week for myself.

“We’re tickled pink; such great news!

“We’re now going to visit the newsagency and let them know about our win!”

The Victorian shared various plans for his million-dollar prize, beginning with home improvements.

“We will be buying a new aircon, washing machine and a dryer!” he revealed.

“We will help our two sons out and go on a family holiday to Italy next year.

His winning 25-game QuickPick was purchased at Forest Hill Lotteries, Kiosk 17  Forest Hill Chase Shopping Cen, 270 Canterbury Road, Forest Hill.

Forest Hill Lotteries owner Ripu Daman said he was thrilled to sell the outlet’s 39th division one winning entry since the store opened in 1982.
