Taylor Lakes dad a strong contender for ‘Father of the year’

A Taylor Lakes dad who scooped a division one win in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw didn’t hesitate to declare he would help his beloved children with his $687,000 win.

The Melbourne retiree was at home surrounded by his best mates on Sunday when he discovered his division one win.

“I’ve had a bloody good weekend!” he laughed.

‘Thank you so much. I was with some good friends at the time, and I decided to check my TattsLotto ticket.

“The first thing I did when I saw the win was walk up to the fridge and grab myself a beer to celebrate!

“I told all my friends, and we spent the day celebrating. It was great!

“I’ve also called my children and told them they’ll be getting some of the win.

“The kids will be happy.

“It was delightful talking to you. Thank you for this winning phone call!”

His marked System 7 entry was purchased at Taylor Lakes Lucky Lotto News & Gifts, Shop 8 Taylors Lakes Shopping Centre, 3 Melton Highway, Taylor Lakes.

Melton Lotto & TSG owner Phong Thai said he was lost for words when he heard his ‘lucky outlet’ had sold its 64th division one winning entry on the weekend.

“I am totally speechless… and I couldn’t find any words to describe how I’m feeling! I couldn’t believe that I had sold yet another division one winning entry so soon,” he said.

“What a way to start the new year! Customers refer to me as ‘Mr Lucky’, and I sure do live up to the name! We have customers who travel interstate and beyond to purchase tickets from my outlet.
