A generous Belconnen woman is looking forward to sharing her life-enhancing windfall, pledging to help those around her with her $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win.

The Canberra resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1717, drawn Tuesday 9 September 2025. She can look forward to a wondrous $200,000.

As the winning entry wasn’t registered to The Lott Members Club, officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the ticketholder and had to wait for her to check his ticket and come forward.

When an official from The Lott spoke with the winning grandmother, she confessed she initially thought she had won $2,000.

“You’re kidding!” she cheered.

“I was expecting you to say $2,000, not $200,000! I had no idea because I was told to call in, but I didn’t realise I’d won the 1st Prize.

“That’s like four years of work for me! How incredible.

“Thank you! I don’t know what to say right now. I think my blood pressure has just shot right up.

“It couldn’t have come at a better time! This is amazing.

“You’ve absolutely made my day.”

When asked how she planned to use her prize, the humble woman couldn’t wait to share the happiness with others.

“I’ll definitely spread the love and share it around,” she said.

“I’ve had a rough year, and I know plenty of other people have struggled too.

“I only need a bit for myself, but helping others is what it’s all about.

“I can give some to my family and my beautiful grandchildren. I have lots of friends who need help too. What a blessing!”

Her winning entry of one random number was purchased from Million Dollar Kiosk, Westfield Shoppingtown, Shop 33 Benjamin Way, Belconnen.
