With $50,000 about to land in her bank account, A Port Adelaide woman has revealed the first thing she’s planning to do with her Keno prize is upgrade her smile.
The winner scored the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 314, drawn 20 September 2021.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the South Australian relayed how the excitement unfolded.
“Every Saturday, I have a tradition of picking up a Keno ticket on my way to work,” she shared.
“I play the same numbers each time, which I have been playing for more than five years now.
“I’ve had a few decent wins in the past, but never anything like this.
“When I was at work, I checked the numbers online and that’s when I saw I’d won $50,000.
“I was blown away! I just kept saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god! Finally!’.
“I went numb after that! I could barely speak, but eventually, I managed to call my mum and share the news with her.
“It’s just fantastic. I am really so happy. I love Keno!
“After I let the news sink in, I carried on with my workday, but I could not stop thinking about my win.
“It’s the only thing that was running through my head! I just kept thinking, ‘$50,000! You beauty’.”
When asked how she intended to enjoy her windfall, the Adelaide woman said she’d already been busy making plans.
“I would love to get a new car, and there’s a few small things around the house that need doing,” she explained.
“I also want to get my teeth done, and then I will invest whatever is left.”
The winning entry was purchased at Port Mall Lotteries & Newsagency, Shop 1 & 2 / The Port Mall Shopping Centre, 176 St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide.
Port Mall Lotteries & Newsagency senior team member Julie Groves said the entire team was celebrating the major win.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2021, there were more than 5 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $133.2 million. This included 37 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners who scored more than $6.37 million.
The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.3 million was won by a Croydon Park man in February 2021, while a win with more than $2.4 million was won by Taperoo man in November 2020.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 10 prize, a player must match all 10 of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
