A Woden man has struck gold again after discovering he had won more than $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw, occurring less than a month after he had won a share in a $1.3 million Saturday Lotto division one win.

The ACT resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1629, drawn Monday 23 October 2023. In addition to his $200,000 prize, the winning man’s entry also scored two consolation prizes of $1,000, bolstering his total lottery loot to $202,000.

He also scored a syndicate share worth $147,491.96 in Saturday Lotto, draw 4403 on Saturday 30 September 2023.

When an official from The Lott called to reveal the life-enhancing news straight after the draw, the gleeful man was in disbelief and couldn’t comprehend his second major windfall.

“Oh my god! Thank you!” he gasped.

“This is crazy. Just last month I won a division one syndicate share in Saturday Lotto.

“I can’t believe this. What a shock!

“I’ve been playing for more than 18 years with no luck and now suddenly, I get two wins in less than a month.

“What a memorable day!”

The winning man revealed he had a couple of generous plans in mind for what he’d like to do with his newfound treasure.

“For my division one syndicate win, I gave it all to my wife,” he shared.

“I think with this prize, I’ll put some away for my children’s education.

“Then I’ll donate some and put the rest towards a holiday for my family.”

His winning entry of 10 consecutive numbers was purchased online at thelott.com - the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $8.92 million for draw 1630, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.83 million for draw 10805.

In FY23, 218 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $79.20 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
