A hardworking young man from Wodonga is looking forward to taking a break from long work hours after winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The thrilled winner was one of nine division one winners nationally in Saturday TattsLotto draw 3865 drawn 4 August 2018. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $444,985.88.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the young man’s 50-game Quickpick entry also won division six, bolstering his total prize to $445,002.18.

The win kicks off a record-breaking week in Australian lottery with two jackpots worth a collective $150 million up for grabs in the coming days.  Tomorrow’s Oz Lotto has a massive $70 million up for grabs, while Thursday’s Powerball is offering a mind-blowing $80 million.

When speaking with a Tatts official this morning to confirm his win, the stoked man declared his disbelief at the news.

“Unbelievable! I don’t know how to feel!” he exclaimed.

“I pick up an entry every now and again and I checked the entry online and it was unbelievable. Don’t know how I won but I’ve won!

“I’ll still be going to work, but I’ve been working my arse off and it’s going to be a break I can tell you.”

“I won’t blow it, probably buy myself a house. Do that kind of stuff.

“It’s a pretty good kick along in life I can tell you! It’s going to help me a lot.”

“You’ve got to be sensible, I don’t want to have nothing to show for the win. I’m going to a put roof over my head and set myself up for the years to come.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 50-game QuickPick entry at Wodonga Tatts & Greetings, 152 High Street, Wodonga.

Paul Mckenzie-McHarg, owner of Wodonga Tatts & Greetings, said he was thrilled to have sold another division one win.

“It’s our 49th division one win in fact!” he exclaimed.

“We are so pleased to have sold another one and so happy a local has won. It’s great for the town and hopefully the money will go back into the local area.

“We are hoping to sell another win soon – hopefully one of our customers takes home one of the big jackpots we have on offer this week!”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto have created 113 millionaires across Australia.
