A Sussex Inlet man has declared he is ‘one happy man’ after discovering he is $200,000 richer from a Lucky Lotteries draw.
The ecstatic man won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1128, drawn on Thursday 13 September 2018.
Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official when claiming his prize, the man recounted the moment he discovered he was $200,000 richer.
“When I scanned the ticket it said ‘Congratulations’ but it didn’t tell me how much I’d won and that’s when I started thinking ‘Hold on, something is up here’,” the winning man shared.
“So I took the ticket to the counter and then the ladies started jumping up and down and told me I had won the 1st Prize! They were so excited for me.
“All I kept thinking was ‘Is this actually happening? Did I really win $200,000?’ I just couldn’t believe it! But now I am speaking to you, I actually believe it.
“Yee-haw! What a great day.
“Yee, yee! I am one happy man!
“I have been buying Lucky Lotteries tickets all my life, so I have been waiting for my win! I only play Lucky Lotteries because of the odds of winning any prize.”
The Sussex Inlet man shared that he had a few plans for his Lucky Lotteries win.
“First thing we will do is buy a car and pay off the mortgage,” he said.
“Then we will probably go on a holiday because we haven’t been on one in such a long time!
“My wife just said she wants to go to the Cook Islands. So I guess that is where we are going.”
The winning ticket was purchased at St Georges Basin Newsagency, Shop 6, 128 Island Point Road, St Georges Basin.
St Georges Basin Newsagency co-owner Lyn Yenne said she was ecstatic to have sold a 1st Prize winning entry.
“Oh my god, that is so exciting,” she said while laughing with glee.
“I am so glad we have made one of our customers $200,000 richer! I am so happy for them.
“We’ve sold a few big prizes in the past, but we were certainly due for another one.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $20.20 million for draw 1131 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.19 million for draw 10248.
