A Nambour resident or visitor has started the week as a multi-millionaire after scoring division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw – they just don’t know it yet.
The mystery winner held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4177, drawn Saturday 31 July 2021. Each entry took home a division one prize worth $2 million.
However, the winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Nambour Village News, Shop 3, 9-15 Mill Street, Nambour.
Nambour Village News manager Danielle Parkinson said she had been dreaming of selling a division one prize for five years, and was lost for words over the news.
“It feels absolutely amazing to sell a division one prize. It’s all I’ve ever wanted,” she shared.
“I got goosebumps and started crying when I read that I had sold a division one prize. I rang my parents, who own the store, and they were over the moon.
“It’s funny actually. I had a dream that I had sold a division one winning ticket and look what happened!
“It has come at a perfect time as well; it was our five-year anniversary owning the store yesterday. What an amazing celebration!
“Besides selling a 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot two years ago, this is our first division one prize sold at the store, and we hope it is the start of a winning streak.
“Nambour is such a small and lovely community town. I’m so happy for the winner, and hope they check their ticket soon. I would like to thank them for choosing our store, and a big congratulations to them!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eager to unite Nambour’s latest division one winner with their life-changing prize.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4177 on 31 July 2021 were 32, 41, 13, 16, 33, 18, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 19.
Across Australia, there were 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4177 – two each from Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania, and four from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 267 so far this financial year, including 67 won by Golden Casket customers.
In 2020, Saturday Gold Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
