Just months after they started playing Saturday Gold Lotto with their favourite numbers, a young Goondiwindi couple are now reeling from their multi-million-dollar win.
The regional Queenslanders held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4187, drawn Saturday 4 September 2021. Each division one winning entry took home $2,857,142.86.
Confirming their win with an official from The Lott this morning, the pair explained they checked their ticket late last night.
“Thank you,” they laughed.
“That’s awesome!
“We’ve been trying to contain ourselves since we checked the ticket last night.
“We didn’t want to get too excited until the news was confirmed. But I suppose we can now!
“It certainly hasn’t sunk in. We both feel so overwhelmed.
“We only recently decided to start playing a couple of months ago. We marked our numbers with our birthdays.
“This is so surreal!”
With a multi-million-dollar prize about to hit their bank account, the duo said there’s no doubt things were about to change in an incredible way.
“It’s going to be awesome,” they declared.
“We’re not too sure at the moment and with Covid. We’re a little bit stuck but we will certainly start travelling as soon as we can.
“It’s going to really set us up. It will be amazing.”
Their life-changing marked 12-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4187 on 4 September 2021 were 29, 33, 14, 45, 31 and 44, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 19.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4187 – three in Victoria, two in New South Wales, and one each in Queensland and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 313 so far this calendar year, including 76 won by Golden Casket customers.
