A man from Young was shaken out of his winter slump after receiving a life-enhancing call from lottery officials informing him he’d won $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.

The Hilltops resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11022, drawn Monday 7 July 2025.

The winning man, who had “never even won a meat tray”, was shocked to discover his ticket had delivered him a hot $100,000 win.

“That’s very exciting! Wow!” he exclaimed.

“I’ve never even won a meat tray. Normally when I win something, it’s a $29 win—max!

“It’s freezing cold where I am and I’m not coping. I might’ve been here all my life, but I still haven’t gotten used to it. I’ve had some friends move to Queensland and it’s looking very promising.

“This win has really cured my winter blues today!

“I thought it was a scam at first when I received an email from you. I looked at it and thought, ‘Oh no, not another one!’ but it’s legitimate.

“Thank you very much!”

Although the winning man initially had no idea how he’d spend his newfound, he eventually warmed to the idea of visiting friends in the Sunshine State for a change of climate.

“You know what! I might take a few weeks off and see my friends in Queensland. Enjoy some sun!” he revealed.

“You’ve made my day!”

His winning entry of nine random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.76 million for draw 1706, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $23.90 million for draw 11024.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
