A young Redland Bay man in his 20s was commencing his morning routine of checking his emails when he received the mind-altering news of his hefty million-dollar haul in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The Sunshine State resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4393, drawn Wednesday 22 May 2024 and won a total prize of $1 million.
From Monday 20 May 2024, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto has changed to a single lottery game called Weekday Windfall across Australia (excluding WA).
“This is unbelievable!” he cheered when receiving the news of his newfound fortune from a Lott official.
“I was just doing all the boring morning tasks before you called.
“I’m not sure what to say but this is crazy news!
“I can’t wait to call my partner about the news. She was on public transport this morning and I had to wait for her to come off because I didn’t want to give her a fright.
“Thank you so much.”
The hard-working Queenslander shared the heartwarming news that his lottery loot would give him and his partner a much-needed boost.
“This will give us a great boost in life and we’ll be able to set-up a great foundation,” he shared.
“There’s so much we could do with this prize, it’s life-changing for sure.
“This would help us get into the property market and set down root’s young.
“For now, I just need to sit on it and think about it.”
The winning man's marked 8 game entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4393 on Wednesday 22 May 2024 were 3, 32, 21, 36, 20 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 43.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4393 – one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 365 so far in FY24, including 86 won by Golden Casket customers.
