The news of a $100,000 lottery win while busy at work has prompted a Prahran man to clock off and head straight to a lavish French restaurant to celebrate.

The victorious Victorian scored the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10509, drawn Thursday 9 December 2021.

As well as winning the 1st Prize, the winner also scored a consolation prize of $2,000, boosting his total windfall to $102,000.

When an official from The Lott called the hardworking man this afternoon to break the exciting news, he oblivious to his good fortune.

“That’s amazing! That’s awesome! $102,000?” he questioned.

“How exciting! I’m busy at work and had absolutely no idea. I’ve been filled with phone calls and meetings all day.

“This is the best news I’ve ever received. I’m all over the place.

“I do purchase entries into Lucky Lotteries quite a bit, so it’s nice to see a win come my way.

“Thank you for making my day!”

“We’ve been in lockdown for the past year and a half, so I haven’t been able to go on holiday for a very long time!” he said.

“I have a holiday booked to Byron Bay soon, and this will definitely come in handy. I’m also hitting a milestone birthday next year.

“I’m going to celebrate the win straight after work with a group of friends! We might go to a French restaurant.”

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.
