A pair of Newcastle construction workers had to climb off the roof they were working on this morning to hear the news they’d scored $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
The Hunter region residents held the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10528, drawn Tuesday 15 February 2022.
When officials from The Lott reached out to one of the winning men earlier this morning to break the life-enhancing news, he explained he’d first have to climb down his ladder.
“Woo-hoo! That’s so friggin’ good! I can’t believe it,” he happily yelled.
“Are you sure this isn’t a joke? Are you serious? True blue!
“We’re at work this morning, and I had to step down from the roof when you called. I’m glad I did because you probably would’ve had to call a paramedic!
“My work partner and I always go halves in these types of entries. We play each week! He’s grinning from ear to ear right now.
“We’ll continue to work until clock off time, but with huge smiles on our faces! This has just made our day so much better. I just want to give you a hug!
“We’ll have to celebrate with a couple of beers after work. Bloody oath!
“I’m not too sure what I’ll do with the prize, but we’ll definitely go halves. My work partner will probably use the money to look after his family.
“Thank you! Thank you!”
The dynamic duo purchased their winning entry of 10 random numbers at Merewether Newsagency, 59 Ridge Street, Merewether.
