Twelve Wentworthville shoppers have started their week on a wonderful note sharing a $2.2 million prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Western Sydney winners were part of a syndicate that held one of the 14 division one winning entries in draw 4281, drawn Saturday 30 July, and shared a total prize of $2,206,712.65.

Each member of the store syndicate receives a share worth $183,898.75.

Entries into the winning store syndicate were sold at Wentworthville Newsagency, 43 Station Street, Wentworthville.

Wentworthville Newsagency owner Manjula Naran said the team was over the moon to hear they’d sold a division one winning entry into the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

“Wow! What a great achievement. I am so beyond happy for our team and the winners!” she cheered.

“We’re going to celebrate this win with our customers and make sure we hang up all our posters.

“The customers will absolutely love this. They’re going to be hoping that the next winning ticket will be theirs!

“We’ve had a total of 42 division one winners since the business started.

“We are overjoyed to share this win with the syndicate members, and we wish them all well.

“Congratulations to everyone! How exciting!”

The Lott spokesperson Francesca Figliano said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover their winning news.

“It’s fair to say these Sydney syndicate members have had a great start to their week by each pocketing more than $180,000!

“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries, there are many who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.

“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for the recent Saturday Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it! If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call The Lott on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4281 on 30 July 2022 were 17, 21, 12, 26, 8, 42, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 13.

Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4281 – three each in New South Wales and Western Australia, two each in Victoria, Tasmania, and Queensland, and one each in South Australia and Northern Territory.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 269 so far this calendar year, including 72 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In 2021, Saturday Lotto created 210 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 351 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $499.8 million.
