Twenty Melbournians have started the day with an Oz Lotto bounty after their syndicate scored the $15 million division one prize in last night’s draw.
However, as some of the syndicate shares are unregistered, some of the winners may have yet to discover their winning news.
The syndicate entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Oz Lotto draw 1314, drawn Tuesday 23 April 2019. It took home the entire division one $15 million jackpot.
In addition to winning division one, the Melbourne group syndicate’s System QuickPick entry also won division three 35 times, division five 210 times, division six 354 times, and division seven 2 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $15,099,464.10
Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $754,973.22.
The group syndicate, called Test Your Luck No. 2, was set up by Racecourse Lucky Lotto & News, Shop 4, 338-390 Racecourse Road, Newmarket.
Shares into the Oz Lotto syndicate were purchased at nine Tatts outlets at Hoppers Crossing, Springvale, Doncaster, Cheltenham, St Albans, Bulleen, Footscray, Ivanhoe and Melton (see list out outlets below).
Racecourse Lucky Lotto & News owner Tuan Nguyen said he was thrilled to see the regular syndicate score division one.
“I found out the syndicate won last night after the draw. It’s great news for the syndicate members. Seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars each is very nice,” he said.
“This syndicate is called Test Your Luck No. 2 which we put on when the Oz Lotto jackpot starts to climb.”
Tatts spokesperson Matt Hart said some syndicate members held unregistered entries and may have yet to discover their winning news.
“Taking home a share in a $15 million jackpot is certainly one way to add a lift to your working week,” he said.
“With each of the 20 syndicate members about to pocket three-quarters of a million dollars, these winners will no doubt be making lots of exciting plans. From new homes and holidays to early retirements, division one winners use their prizes in many different ways.
“While we’ll be reaching out to those syndicate members who registered their entries to their Tatts Cards, there are many syndicate members who have unregistered entries and may not yet know they’re part of this winning group.
“If you purchased a share in a syndicate for last night’s Oz Lotto draw, today’s the day to check it! If you discover you’re holding a winning share, call Tatts on 131 868 to start the prize claim process!”
