24 Sydney players’ bank balances plumped by million-dollar Lotto Megadraw prize

Twenty-four Wentworth Point and Plumpton players have begun discovering 2021 is already much more rewarding than last year, sharing a million-dollar division one prize from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw.

The syndicate held one of the 19 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4117, drawn Saturday 2 January 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $1,578,947.37.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s System 10 entry also won division three 24 times, division four 90 times, and division six 80 times, bolstering the total prize to $1,602,882.27.

Each member of the 24-strong syndicate receives a share worth $66,786.76.

Entries into the winning store syndicate were sold at Supercharged News Marina Square, T314, Marina Square, 10 Burroway Road, Wentworth Point, and Plumpton Marketplace Newsagency, Shop T19, Plumpton Marketplace, Cnr Hyatts Road and Jersey Road, Plumpton.

Supercharged News Marina Square team member Sam Khare said the outlet has been buzzing since news of their division one win broke.

“We’ve been so excited,” he said.

“I’m always happy when my customers win and I hope it keeps happening.

“I don’t think everyone’s checked their entry yet so I hope to break the news to a customer or two today.”

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he urged anyone who purchased an entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw to check their entry today.

“While many of the winning Sydney syndicate members registered their entries to a player card, others may have yet to discover they’re part of this winning group,” he said.

“After the twists and turns of 2020, could there be any better way of starting 2021 than sharing a division one prize? We can’t wait to unite all the syndicate members with their share, so today’s the day to check those tickets lying around the home, car and anywhere else.

“If you think you’re part of this winning group, contact us immediately on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4117 on 2 January 2021 were 7, 5, 16, 44, 14 and 17, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 31.

Across Australia, there were 19 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4117 – six from Victoria, four from New South Wales, three each from South Australia and Western Australia, two from Queensland and one from Tasmania.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 227 so far this financial year, including 62 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In 2020, Saturday Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.

During this time, there were 312 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $355.13 million.
