A Taylors Lakes man who has his heart set on building his dream home has scored the perfect prize to make that a reality thanks to an Instant Scratch-Its ticket he was gifted for his birthday.
The top prize winning $5 Live the Life ticket was purchased at Lotto Luck Watergardens, Kiosk K3A, Watergardens Shopping Centre, 399 Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes.
The winner has scored one of the top prizes of $260,000 – paid in instalments of $1,000 a week for 5 years.
When speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the Victorian explained he’d enjoyed the best birthday yet thanks to his top prize win.
“I actually got this Instant Scratch-Its ticket as a birthday present,” he explained.
“My daughter was asking me what I wanted for my birthday, and I said to her, ‘I want the chance to win enough money so I can build my dream home’.
“So, instead of buying me shirts and jocks, she bought me a few Instant Scratch-Its and lottery tickets.
“On my birthday, my daughter sat on the end of my bed and gave me the tickets, and I scratched this one first.
“We couldn’t believe it when we saw I’d won the top prize. We just kept screaming, ‘We’ve won! We’ve won!’.
“It feels like it was meant to be. I won the exact amount I needed to build my dream home. I just needed an extra boost of $260,000 and that’s what I got. It’s very weird.
“It’s come at the most fantastic time. It feels like the universe was listening to me and that I manifested it!
“I really couldn’t be happier. It was an amazing birthday surprise.
“I’m going to use the money to build my dream house and then I’m going to spoil my kids.
“We’d already planned to go out for my birthday, so this win just made the celebrations that much better.”
The Lotto Luck Watergardens team member Angelina Najdovski said the team was celebrating the top prize win.
