A self-confessed cruise lover from Elermore Vale has already booked a berth on his next ship following the discovery of his $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win.
The Newcastle man won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10250, drawn on Friday 5 October 2018.
However the man didn’t discover his good fortune until this week when he finally checked the ticket that had been lying innocently on his desk the whole time.
Remarkably, the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the prize on a free ticket he won from a ticket in an earlier Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw that he bought from Elermore Vale Newsagency, Shop 17-18, Elermore Value Shopping Village, 137 Croudace Road, Newcastle.
“Thanks very much! I still can’t believe it, but it must be true as I keep checking it,” he said when speaking to a NSW Lotteries official to confirm his prize.
“And to win on a free ticket too – that’s amazing!
“This ticket’s just been sitting beside my computer with the rest of my junk for weeks.
“I’m glad I didn’t accidentally throw it out.”
The winner admitted he had been bitten by the travel bug and already knows exactly how he will use his prize.
“It’s come at the perfect time. I’ve already booked another cruise – one around the United Kingdom,” he laughed.
“We’re also going to do some renovations and then I’d like to put a big chunk of change into my super.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $24.28 million for draw 1148 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $890,000 for draw 10253.
