An Aldinga Beach lottery player has had a kick start to the week after scoring a division one prize worth over $740,000 in the weekend’s X Lotto draw.
The happy winner held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4087, drawn Saturday 19 September 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $740,461.20.
The winning ticket was unregistered, which means officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the winner and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
However, how the winner plans to enjoy their life-changing windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Aldinga Beach Newsagency, Shop 2, Aldinga Central Shopping Centre, Cnr Aldinga Beach Road and Pridham Boulevard, Aldinga Beach.
Aldinga Beach Newsagency owners Lee and Christine Morgan said they were very excited to hear their customer had claimed their prize.
“We are so thrilled to hear our customer has discovered they are the winner, and we hope they are as excited as we are!” they said.
“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold since we took over this store so we are very happy.
“We’ve got the balloons up, and we’ve been talking about it with all of our customers.
“They are so happy as it gives them the feeling they can win division one too!
“A huge congratulations to our winner and a massive thank you to them for supporting our small business.
“We hope this win brings you lots of joy and comfort for the future!”
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said that while we may not know how the winner plans to enjoy their prize, there is no doubt it has put a smile on their face.
“If you see someone wandering around Aldinga Beach with a beaming smile on their face, they just might be our latest division one winner!” she exclaimed.
“Other players tell us they are going to use their windfall to renovate or upgrade their homes, buy a nice new car and plan a long-awaited holiday.
“We often hear players say they will share it with their family and loved ones and give to charities close to their hearts.
“However our winner plans to enjoy their prize, we hope it continues to bring a smile to their face!”

Last financial year, X Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in X Lotto draw 4087 on Saturday 19 September 2020 were 1, 41, 26, 23, 14 and 8 while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 12.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in X Lotto draw 4087 – two each from Western Australia and South Australia, and one each from New South Wales, Victoria and online.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 290 so far this calendar year, including 27 won by SA Lotteries customers.
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 318 division one winning X Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $346.12 million.
