The countdown is on with Monday a week until Set for Life launches its exciting game changes on 23 March, which will see an introduction of a shiny new division two prize and aims to deliver more winners in every draw.

Following a comprehensive game review a decision was made to enhance a number of Set for Life game features (Table 1).

The game already offers a unique division one prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years for up to four winners in each draw.

From Set for Life draw 1691 on Monday 23 March 2020, the game’s division two winners will receive $5,000 a month for a year – a total of $60,000 (for up to four winners in every draw).

The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said since Set for Life was first introduced in 2015 there had been 60 division one winners across Australia who will collectively pocket $288 million over twenty years.

“Of those winners 15 were from Queensland, another 15 were from New South Wales and 14 were from Victoria. We also had four from South Australia, one from Northern Territory and 11 were from Western Australia,” she said.

“I recently sat down with a Victorian mum who won Set for Life in 2016 and she explained the impact winning has had on her life.

“Thanks to Set for Life she was able to quit her job and live in a hot, tropical location for a year, then when she was ready to go back to work she changed careers completely and now she works part-time with her friends in a job she loves.

“This generous winner has helped family and friends, bought her dream home, donated to a variety of charities, got her first passport and now travels around the world regularly.

“The thing she loves most about Set for Life is the regular payments and how she can really plan for the future.”

Ms Ramsamy said the game changes meant there could be many more happy winners in not only division one but across all divisions.

“The new Set for Life division two prize will be about 10 times the division two prize currently offered by the game. It will also be one of the biggest division two prizes offered by any Australian lottery game,” she said.

“The chance of winning any prize in a single game has been improved to 1 in 50, which means the possibility of more winners in every draw.”

In 2019, there were 11 Set for Life First Prize winners across Australia who will collectively receive $52,800,000 million during the next 20 years. As at 1 January 2020, $23.48 million in monthly payments of $20,000 had been paid to the 54 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
