An Adelaide Hills man is preparing to kick his feet up and spend Christmas fishing with his family after bagging $100,000 in a recent Keno draw.
The South Australian scored the $100,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 221114 707, drawn 14 November 2022.
“I’ve had a very relaxing and carefree time since realising I’d won,” the excited man told an official from Keno when confirming his windfall.
“I’m just a regular bloke! These things don’t happen to people like me!
“I was filling up the car and thought, ‘why not have a go at Keno?’.
“It’s great to have a win every once in a while, but you never expect to bag a big win like this.
“This win is going to be a fantastic boost for me and I can’t wait for Christmas!
“I’ll take some time off and go on a fishing trip with my family. That will be a great way to celebrate.
“Thanks so much. I’m still struggling to believe this has happened!”
The South Australian purchased her winning ticket at OTR Cavan Inbound, 144-146 Port Wakefield Road, Cavan.
OTR Cavan Inbound spokesperson Yasser Shahin said the team was so excited to see one of their customers win.
“We’ve been celebrating at the outlet and telling everyone we’ve sold a major lottery prize,” he said.

In FY22, there were more than 4.58 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $97.6 million. This included 36 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $7.27 million.
