A Findon man is happily abandoning his search for the best home loan after scoring $20 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The South Australian held the only division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1507, drawn Tuesday 3 January 2023.
“It’s fantastic! I’ve been waiting for your call!” the happy man exclaimed when contacted by an official from The Lott this morning.
“Last night, I remembered I had a ticket and thought I’d take a look. I was so shocked. I just turned the phone over to my wife and said, ‘have a look’.
“She started screaming and crying. What a moment! We couldn’t believe it. I can’t believe how much we cried.
“We were awake until about 4am this morning. My chest was pumping all night. I felt like I could see my heart beating. I just kept looking at my phone thinking, ‘am I dreaming? What’s happening to me?’.
When asked how he might enjoy his new multi-millionaire status, the happy husband shared buying his first family home and helping his family and friends were the top priorities.
“We’ve been wanting to buy our first home for a while. We’ve been looking for a loan from different banks and there have been so many ups and downs. Not anymore!”
The Adelaide resident also shared he’d always told his wife he would win the lottery.
“I’ve said to her, ‘one day I will win. I don’t know how much it will be or when, but I will win.’. I’ve been thinking about it. This has been my vision,” he explained.
“Unbelievable!”
The man’s winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1507 on Tuesday 3 January 2023 were 20, 7, 43, 30, 41, 24 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 17, 40 and 19.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1507 – the entry from South Australia.
