A young Adelaide woman has popped the bubbly early this New Year’s Eve after discovering this morning she is now a multi-millionaire from scoring division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto Megadraw.
The happy woman held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4011, drawn Saturday 28 December 2019. Each entry scored a division one prize $2,727,272.73.
Sharing her joy with a SA Lotteries official this morning, the woman revealed her initial disbelief at the win.
“I scanned my ticket on the app yesterday and saw that I had won. I couldn’t believe it!” she laughed.
“I don’t buy lottery tickets that often but saw there was a $30 million Megadraw coming up so bought an entry.
“You always hope you are going to win but I never thought I actually would!
“I just didn’t think it was real. I still don’t think it is real!
“I’m not sure I will believe it until it’s in my bank account!”
When asked if the multi-million-dollar windfall would change her plans for the new year, the overjoyed winner confessed her celebrations had started early.
“I celebrated the win this morning with a glass of champagne at 8:30am!” she laughed.
“I’m just spending the night with friends, but we’ll be celebrating a whole lot more than just a new year and new decade!
“It feels pretty great to know I’ll be heading into the new year a multi-millionaire!”
The happy woman revealed she knew exactly how she would enjoy her windfall.
“The first thing I’ll do is pay off my mortgage and then I’d like to buy an investment property,” she declared.
“I’ve got a holiday to America coming up next year too so it will be great to be able to have a bit of extra spending money for that.
“I’ll be able to go on many more holidays too!”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at TerryWhite Chemmart Market Plaza, Shop 9, 61 Grote Street, Adelaide.
TerryWhite Chemmart Market Plaza manager David Huynh said he was thrilled to discover his outlet had sold a division one winning entry and the winner had been united with their prize.
“We are so pleased to know someone who visited our store was so fortunate!” he exclaimed.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and Saturday X Lotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4011 on Saturday 28 December 2019 were 39, 13, 19, 1, 37 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 5 and 33.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4011 – five from Queensland, three from New South Wales, two from South Australia and one from Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 380 so far this calendar year, including 45 won by SA Lotteries customers.
