An Albany Creek woman has thanked her husband for the best birthday present she’s ever received - a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket worth more than $500,000.
The Moreton Bay region resident held one of the ten division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 on Saturday 26 September 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $511,318.20.
Confirming her win with an official from The Lott this morning, the woman explained she’d just checked her ticket on the app.
“Thank you so much,” she gushed.
“That’s excellent!
“I normally go to the newsagency to check my tickets a little later in the week, but for some reason, I thought I’d better check it just now.
“This is mind-blowing. It’s unbelievable.
“It’s very exciting for a Monday morning!
“The ticket was a birthday present from my husband. It’s the best birthday present he’s ever got me and one I will certainly never forget!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her Saturday Gold Lotto fortune, the happy woman had a few ideas.
“We’ve got some work to do around the house, so this will definitely be going towards that,” she said.
“My husband and I are both still working, but when we can travel again, we will certainly be doing that.
“It’s going to be a big help!”
The winning entry was purchased at Vapecloud News, Shop 8A, 1374 Gympie Road, Aspley.
Vapecloud News owner Jay Kumar said the win marked a special milestone for the outlet.
“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold,” he said.
“It’s so exciting, our entire team is so happy.

Last financial year, Saturday Gold Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 on Saturday 26 September 2020 were 28, 7, 36, 1, 42, and 22 while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 11.
Across Australia, there were ten division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 – four each from Queensland and Western Australia, and one each from Victoria and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 298 so far this calendar year, including 81 won by Golden Casket customers.
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 318 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $346.12 million.
