An Alexandria woman has admitted to sleeping for ‘just a few hours’ since discovering her $1.6 million Saturday Lotto win in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Sydney resident held one of the six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4415, drawn Saturday 11 November 2023 and took home a total prize of $1,666,666.67.
“I woke up just after midnight on Saturday and couldn’t understand why I couldn’t get back to sleep,” the winning woman explained when an official from The Lott called to confirm her windfall.
“That’s when I rolled over and thought, ‘I guess I should check my Saturday Lotto ticket.’
“It turns out that wasn’t a great decision because I’ve barely had more than a few hours of sleep since.
“My eyes grew wide, my jaw hit the floor and I wanted to scream but I couldn’t because I didn’t want to wake the whole house up.
“It’s unbelievable! I honestly thought it was a joke at first.
“I had to check each number to be sure.
“I just feel so grateful because it’s going to change my life!
“I’ll be able to help my family, invest, and prepare for the future.
“Thank you so much. It’s such a blessing.”
Her winning marked six-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4415 on 11 November 2023 were 2, 1, 30, 28, 24 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 39 and 29.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4415 – three in Victoria, two in Western Australia and one in New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 360 so far in 2023, including 118 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY23, Saturday Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 332 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $463.06 million.
