Two months on an Anna Bay retiree has finally discovered she won $200,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw in July.
The Port Stephens player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1403, drawn Monday 29 July 2019.
Confirming her win with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the woman explained where the valuable ticket had been for the past two months.
“Thank you so much,” she laughed.
“The ticket has just been in my wallet the whole time. I’d forgotten to check it!
“But I just checked it at the newsagency and they told me I’m the winner they’d been searching for.
“It hasn’t quite sunk in yet but it’s incredibly exciting.”
The winner revealed she’d need to take some time to process the exciting news before deciding exactly how she’d enjoy her prize.
“I’ll put it in the bank for a little while so I can think about it,” she explained.
“We will certainly be able to really enjoy our retirement without having to worry about money!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Anna Bay Newsagency, Shop 7, 118 Gan Gan Road, Anna Bay.
Anna Bay Newsagency owner Stephen Tulip said he was relieved to know the winner had been united with her prize. “We are just so glad she has finally checked her ticket after two months,” he said.
“We’ve had plenty of massive winners over the past 22 years and the excitement never fades.
“It’s very special to see this prize go to a local, it’s really been the talk of the town and has created plenty of excitement.
“Congratulations to her!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.20 million for draw 1453 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $4.79 million for draw 10318.
