An Ardrossan woman’s last-minute decision to purchase an entry into Monday & Wednesday X Lotto has delivered her a wonderous $1 million win.
The South Australian held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4234, drawn Monday 14 November 2022 and takes home a total prize of $1 million.
The cheerful woman revealed she had been patiently waiting by her phone this morning awaiting confirmation by lottery officials, wondering if the winning news was true.
“Oh my god! Oh my god!” she cheered.
“I’ve been too scared to say anything in case it wasn’t real. I’ve been waiting for your phone call!
“I found out this morning when I logged into The Lott app. I woke up my husband in a frenzy, and I said, ‘I think we’ve won a million dollars!’. He turned to me and said, ‘That sounds like a scam!’.
“We were going back and forth with each other, and I was telling him that it’s not a scam.
“We even looked up the Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw from last night to see if the winning numbers matched ours.
“I’ve been playing Set for Life since the game was first introduced in 2015, but something came across me last night to put a ticket on for Monday & Wednesday X Lotto.
“Funnily enough, I also won $1,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket last week!
“I can’t even comprehend this right now!”
With one million dollars about to land in her bank account, the merry mother revealed it would help her to conquer her Australian dream odyssey and do some overdue home renovations.
“We will love to buy a brand-new caravan and travel around Australia,” she said.
“We can also finish some renovations on the house!”
Her winning 14-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4234 on Monday 14 November 2022 were 12, 6, 3, 18, 35 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 9.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4311 – one each in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia.
