A Tumut man who thought his mates were pulling a prank on him was today thrilled to discover he really had won $200,00 thanks to a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1449, drawn Tuesday 3 September 2019.
Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the man shared how his win came as a shock.
“Holy sh**!” he laughed.
“Are you spewing? You’re not one of my mates pulling a prank?
“Are you fair dinkum?
“Bloody oath this is a good day!
“I’m fantastic now!
“You have made my day
“My wife is not going to believe me when I tell her!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke said he’d buy his dream set of wheels.
“I’m going to buy myself a wagon! I’ve been wanting a Toyota Land Cruiser for years, so now I’ll be able to finally get it,” he chuckled.
“I am sure my wife will have a few ideas of how to spend it too.
“It’s going to be a big help to us.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of one number at Tumut Newsagency, 76 Wynyard Street, Tumut.
Tumut Newsagency owner Roger Maybury said the outlet was celebrating making one of their customers $200,000 richer.
“We are very excited,” he said.
“We were waiting to sell one of the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prizes.
“We’ve sold a few major prize wins in the past, but we were certainly due for another. We hope this is the start of a winning streak.
“Our customers are all so happy for us and are hoping they’ll be a major prize winner next.
“We wish our winner all the very best and hope he enjoys it. We couldn’t be happier for him!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.48 million for draw 1450 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.88 million for draw 10311.
