A Bacchus Marsh woman has declared she will have a ‘blissful retirement’ after scoring a $1.4 million division one win in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The happy woman held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4119, drawn Saturday 9 January 2021. Each entry takes home a division one prize worth $1,428,571.43.
When an official from The Lott called the winner this morning to break the exciting news, the Victorian woman couldn’t contain her disbelief.
“Is this a hoax call? Surely this is one of my mates pulling my leg?” she laughed.
“Oh sh*t! Thank you! Oh my god! What amazing news! I’m stunned!
“I had absolutely no idea I had won. I don’t check my tickets until I go into the outlet to put my next one on so I had no idea!
“I work casually, and I thought your phone call was my work calling me into work today.
“When I saw it was ringing, I thought ‘Do I really want to go to work today? Should I answer this?’.
“I might not have to go to work ever again now!
“This is more than lovely! It’s massive! I’ve never won anything, not even a raffle ticket!
“This is huge! It’s going to make my retirement blissful!”
Despite recently discussing with her family what she’d do with a TattsLotto windfall, the thrilled woman confessed she still wasn’t sure how she would spend her prize.
“You won’t believe this, but on Christmas Day my family and I were talking about what we would do if we won TattsLotto,” she explained.
“One of my family members received a ticket for Christmas, so we were all talking about what we’d do if we won.
“I said then that I wasn’t sure what I would do, and now it’s happened I’m still not sure!
“It’s completely unbelievable! I honestly don’t know!
“I can’t wait to call my husband and tell him he can come home from work!”
The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning marked 18-game entry at Nextra Bacchus Marsh Village Newslotto, Kiosk 9, The Village Shopping Centre, 160-192 Main Street, Bacchus Marsh.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4119 on 9 January 2021 were 9, 22, 34, 20, 7, and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 12 and 10.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4119 – two from New South Wales and one each from Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 235 so far this financial year, including 94 won by Tatts customers.
