The Victorian held one of the four division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4174, drawn Monday 18 April 2022 and takes home a total prize of $1 million.
TThis morning, an official from The Lott reached out to the winning man, who was fast asleep in bed and oblivious that he’d become a Lotto millionaire.
“I don’t want to buy any Lotto tickets, thanks,” he responded.
“Wait, what do you mean you’re calling me with good news?
“What the hell! Am I a millionaire? I won Lotto?! I had no idea! I thought you were an annoying cold caller!
“Thank you very much. You can call me anytime you want!
“I’ll have to go wake up the wife with this news! She’s going to be so happy.
“I’m over the moon. I feel pretty bloody lucky at the moment. This is exciting! What the hell!
“It’s going to be a nice boost for the bank account. We’ll certainly use a lot of it to enjoy our retirement.
“We’ll want to help the kids and the family too. It’s been immensely challenging these past few years, so it’s fantastic.
“I might have to take the wife and the whole family out for a nice dinner tonight! They’re going to be blown away by this million-dollar surprise.”
The life-changing marked System 7 entry was purchased at Lucas Gifts & Lotto, Kiosk 1 Coltman Plaza Shopping Centre, Lucas.
Lucas Gifts & Lotto manager Joe Schembri said his entire team was celebrating the exciting milestone.
“What a fantastic Easter surprise for both the winner and us,” he explained.
“It’s so exciting. All our customers are thrilled and hoping they’re next to win big.
“There’s a great buzz in the store today – it almost feels like there’s a party here.
“This is the first division one win at this outlet, and we opened just under six months ago. It’s a big moment for us, and we feel fortunate.
