A Bateau Bay woman was ready to drop everything, run inside her house and sprint up the stairs to discover her $100,000 windfall in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The Central Coast resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10771, drawn Thursday 4 May 2023.

The New South Wales woman was caught by surprise when lottery officials called her out of the blue late yesterday afternoon to reveal her newfound fortune.

“Oh my god! Are you calling about good news? It must be good news!” she laughed.

“I was driving home when you called, and I’ve had to rush inside in excitement.

“The tickets were lying upstairs, and I’ve never run so fast up the stairs in my life!

“I was in such a frenzy that I left my phone in the car!

“Oh my god. You’re joking! You’re kidding! One hundred thousand dollars?!

“My husband is beside me. He’s in shock!

“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries for decades!

“This is the most I’ve ever won. I can’t believe it!

“I’m going to call my daughter and tell her to get her backside here tonight!

“I’m going to buy a fancy champagne and put it on ice to celebrate!”

With $100,000 about to boost her bank account this month, the cheery woman shared she would generously give back to charity.

“I’ve always said if I was to win the lottery, I’d give back to charity,” she exclaimed.

“Oh my god. I still can’t wrap my head around this!

“This will really help. Thank you.”

Her winning entry was purchased at Toowoon Bay Post Office & Newsagency, 1/145-147 Bay Road, Toowoon Bay.
