A Baulkham Hills healthcare worker burst into tears of joy this morning after the revelation she is now a millionaire from winning division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.
The hardworking woman held one of two division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3965, drawn Wednesday 15 April 2020, and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
In addition to winning the coveted division one prize, her System 8 entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, boosting her total win to $1,007,899.45.
When an official from the Lott contacted the woman this morning, she was about to head out the door to work. However, the million-dollar win stopped her in her tracks.
“Oh my god!” she exclaimed, bursting into tears.
“Really?! I can’t believe it.
“You’ve made my day, my year! This is the best news ever. You’re an angel.
“I only play every now and then. I was out walking the other day and I wasn’t feeling well. I was anxious about everything going on so I thought I would get a ticket. “This is more than what I could ever want.”
However, the woman shared she won’t be able to celebrate her good fortune straight away as she needed to head to work.
“I’ll have to celebrate after work today but this is just amazing for my family,” she said.
“I want to pay off the mortgage and look after my family.
“I’m just so very grateful. Thank you for this call!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her System 8 QuickPick entry at The Paper Shoppe, Shop 67, Stockland Mall, 375-383 Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills.
The Paper Shoppe owners Bharat and Ramesh Rabadiya said they were thrilled to see one of their customers win big.
“This is our first big win. We only took over the store in January this year so this is a big moment for us,” Bharat said.
“We’ve started sharing the news with our customers and we hope it’s not too long before we see another one.
“Congratulations to our winner! Enjoy your prize!," Ramesh added.
In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3965 on Wednesday 15 April 2020 were 14, 19, 39, 12, 41 and 44 while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 8.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3965 – an entry from Queensland and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 302 so far this financial year, including 92 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 108 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $106 million.
