Ten Wollongong locals are about to have their week turned around with the news their syndicate scored division one in last night’s Monday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales entry was the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3964, drawn Monday 13 April 2020, and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.
In addition to winning the coveted division one prize, the System 8 QuickPick entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, boosting their total win to $1,008,481.00.
Each member of the syndicate takes home a prize of $100,848.10.
The division one winning entry was sold at Figtree Newsagency, Shop 29, Figtree Grove Shopping Centre, 19 Princes Highway, Figtree.
Figtree Newsagency owner Grace Ma said the division one win marked a special milestone for the regular store syndicate.
“Incredibly, it’s been exactly one year since we started the syndicate!” she exclaimed.
“Our customers have been playing it every week since and it delivered big on its first anniversary!
“We haven’t had any of the syndicate members come in yet and check their ticket so there will be plenty of surprises! I know they will all be so excited!
“It’s not always the same ten people, a couple of people are in it every week and the rest changes, depending on who gets in first.
“It’s come at a great time! It will cheer so many people up, even people who weren’t in the syndicate are so happy to hear we’ve sold a major prize.
“This will put plenty of positive energy in the community.
“This is the 20th division one winning entry we’ve sold over 15 years!”
In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3964 on Monday 13 April 2020 were 1, 2, 45, 41, 39 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 38.
Across Australia, there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3964 – the entry from New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 299 so far this financial year, including 90 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 108 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $106 million.
