A Western Sydney woman thought she was having a “crazy dream” when she woke up in the middle of the night and checked her Wednesday Lotto ticket to discover she was suddenly a millionaire.
The New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3957, drawn Wednesday 18 March 2020, and takes home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
Confirming the life-changing news with an official from the Lott this morning, the winner admitted she first thought she’d imagined it all.
“I checked my entry last night and saw I had won $1 million and I thought I must have been seeing things,” she laughed.
“I nodded off to sleep for a little while and woke up in the middle of the night and was convinced it was all a crazy dream.
“Then I checked my ticket again and there it was!
“I didn’t sleep again after that and now I am at work! It’s so hard to concentrate!
“It certainly hasn’t sunk in yet.
“It was a marked entry, I’ve been using the same numbers for a long time and I just had a very strange feeling that it was going to happen soon, that I’d win big!
“And now it has! It’s unbelievable.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar win, the Sydney player said she never thought she’d experience financial freedom at this stage in her life.
“I never imagined being mortgage-free at 40, so it’s going to be pretty amazing!” she exclaimed.
“It’s a huge relief. I am still in shock. It’s certainly going to be life changing.
“I will have to celebrate tonight! I have no idea how I’m going to get through the rest of the day at work!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her million-dollar winning entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3957 on Wednesday 18 March 2020 were 18, 15, 19, 14, 41 and 22 while the supplementary numbers were 10 and 20.
