A Baxter man received the surprise of a lifetime this morning when he discovered his TattsLotto ticket had delivered far more than the $1,600 win he first thought, with lottery officials confirming his $1.6 million prize.
The Mornington Peninsula resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4683, drawn Saturday 6 June 2026.
The winning man was surprised to receive an early morning call from an official from The Lott and questioned what the call was about.
“Wow! I won more than I thought!” he laughed.
“That’s fantastic. I was confused to why you were calling me. I had a quick look at it over the weekend, and I thought I’d won $1,600 – obviously not!
“This win will be good for everyone. It will help a lot of people around me.
“I’ve got to process this news before I can celebrate but maybe a nice dinner will be on the cards.
“Thanks for the phone call!”
His winning 25-game QuickPick was purchased at Baxter Newsagency, Shop 6, 96 Baxter-Tooradin Road, Baxter.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4683 on 6 June 2026 were 10, 31, 44, 30, 43 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 38.
