A Belmont player has had a start to the week they’ll never forget, scoring division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales resident held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 3965, drawn Saturday 20 July 2019. Each division one winner takes home a division one prize of $375,485.58.
However, how the winner planned to spend their Saturday Lotto windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Euro Garages Australia – Belmont, Woolworths Caltex Petrol, 397 Pacific Highway, Belmont.
Euro Garages Australia – Belmont manager Cheryl Allen said this was the first time the store had sold a division one winning entry.
“We are so excited, it’s like we’ve won ourselves!” she exclaimed.
“It’s absolutely thrilling to sell our first division one winning entry.
“We are celebrating in store and sending our congratulations to the winner!”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said while we may never know how the Belmont shopper planned to spend their prize we are sure it has changed their life forever.
“What an incredible way to start the week, realising you’re more than $375,000 richer!” she exclaimed.
“No doubt our winner’s plans for the rest of the week will change when their bank account balloons by a few more zeros!
“Other winners tell us they love to share their windfall with their family, go on overseas holidays, pay off their mortgages or buy a new home.
“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has changed their lives forever!”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3965 on Saturday 20 July 2019 were 42, 12, 2, 18, 8 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 39 and 14.
Across Australia, there were 12 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3965, three each from Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia, two from New South Wales and one in South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 205 so far this calendar year, including 58 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
