A mystery Belmore lottery player has spent the past week oblivious to their multi-million-dollar fortune, finally checking their Megadraw ticket today to realise they’re kicking off 2020 a division one winner.

The New South Wales player held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw, draw 4011 on Saturday 28 December 2019. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize of $2,727,272.73.

However, how they plan to spend their Saturday Lotto windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

Belmore Newsagency owner My Trieu said she was happy to know her winning customer had finally been united with their prize.

“The first thing we’ve been telling people when they’ve been coming into our store is to ‘check your tickets’,” she said.

“I couldn’t believe we sold another division one winning entry – we’ve sold four during the past five years. We’re decorating the store to celebrate.

“Congratulations to our winner.  We wish them a happy new year with your division one prize.”

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she couldn’t think of a better way to kick start the new year.

“I have no doubt this winner’s plans for 2020 have instantly changed after discovering they’re suddenly more than $2.7 million richer,” she said.

“I’m sure it will be a year they’ll never forget, creating incredible memories.

“Other Megadraw winners told us they’ll use their windfall to retire immediately, plan dream holidays with their friends and families, and live a stress free life.

“However our winner chooses to enjoy their windfall we are sure it has changed their lives forever!”

Mystery Sydney Megadraw winner still at large

NSW Lotteries officials are still waiting to hear from a mystery Megadraw multi-millionaire who purchased their winning entry from Queens Square Newsagency, 229 Macquarie Street, Sydney.

The mystery Sydney winner is one of the three Megadraw division one winners from New South Wales and the last to claim their prize.

Anyone who purchased an entry in Saturday Lotto draw 4011 from Queens Square Newsagency is being urged to check their tickets immediately.
