A Bentleigh man going about his usual day at work has been left speechless after lottery officials revealed his million-dollar win in Monday & Wednesday Lotto.
The Melburnian held the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4217, drawn Wednesday 14 September and takes home a total prize of $1,000,000.00.
This morning an official from The Lott reached out to the gleeful man who was completely oblivious to becoming a newly minted millionaire.
“Oh my god! Oh my god!” he joyfully cried.
“Is this true?! Is this real?! I can’t speak, think or believe this.
“I’m bawling my eyes out because I’ve had a horrible couple of years.
“This has come at the most perfect time. I really don’t have any words.
“I need to take a moment to process this all. I’m in too much shock.
“You’ve seriously made my day.”
With his life about to change forever, the winning man shared a couple of plans he had in mind for his prize.
“I’m definitely going to help my family, and buy a new property,” he said.
“In terms of how I’ll celebrate the win, I’ll have to sit down and process it all."
His winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4217 on Wednesday 14 September 2022 were 43, 6, 16, 10, 28 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 36.
