What started as a seemingly ordinary day for one Milton man quickly turned into one of the happiest days of his life after he received the news he’d won $100,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Shoalhaven local held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10864, drawn Wednesday 31 July 2024. He also snagged a consolation prize boosting his total win to $101,000.

“No way! That’s unreal!” he screamed when an official from The Lott confirmed his win.

“It’s honestly a little unbelievable. I’m shaking right now.

“I’ve been playing various lottery games since I was 20 years old dreaming of a win like this.

“At first, I thought this was a bogus prank call but boy was I wrong.

“I need to go lie down this is such amazing news.

“This is the best day ever! I had no idea that I’d won anything before you called.”

When asked how he’d use his unexpected windfall, the shocked man didn’t hesitate to say this prize would go straight to his mortgage.

“This will go a long way to making a dint in my mortgage,” he cheered.

“It also means I’ll be able to retire earlier and live a little more stress-free.

“It’s the best news! You’ve made my day!”

The winning man’s entry of four consecutive numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.72 million for draw 1685, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now over $3.2 million for draw 10865.

In 2023, 117 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $20.6 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2023, more than 122.7 million wins took home more than $3.76 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday WindfallPowerballOz LottoSet for LifeLucky LotteriesKeno (SA)Super 66Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.6 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
