A Boyne Island mum has confessed she had to have her family double and triple check her Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto entry before she allowed herself to believe she’d won $1 million.
The Central Queensland resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4259, drawn Wednesday 8 February 2023 and takes home $1 million.
“I’ve never won anything before and when I checked my entry I thought it must have been a mistake,” she exclaimed when confirming her win with an official from The Lott.
“Oh my gosh, this is going to take some time to sink in!
I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing. All these zeros popped up and I had to have my family double and triple check it before I accepted that it might be real.
“It means so much to us.
“We’ve been talking about retirement and trying to figure out how we’ll be able to make it work for some time now.
“Now, we don’t have to worry anymore.
“We can pay off the mortgage!
“This has changed my life. Thank you so much.”
