A Sunnybank dad nearly let a $3 million Saturday Gold Lotto win slip through his finger after initially, brushing off the mammoth prize while checking his lottery tickets.
The Brisbane resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4669, drawn Saturday 18 April 2026. He looks forward to a total prize of $3,217,005.49.
The winning man shared he hasn’t stopped shaking like a leaf since discovering his newly-minted millionaire status earlier this morning.
“Holy crap! I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.
“I’m struggling to think. I haven’t even had my coffee and I can’t stop shaking. I’ve been shaking for hours.
“It’s amazing. I didn’t even notice the win! I had checked my tickets yesterday and I completely missed the win. I’ve been too busy at work to look at my tickets properly.
“I think I need to sit down and reflect on what has happened. It’s not every day that you win $3 million!
“I’m very happy.”
With the multi-million-dollar boost about to land his way, the Queenslander had one thing in mind.
“This will help my family in so many ways,” he shared.
“We will be able to buy a house which is so exciting.”
His winning marked 12-game System 7 entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4669 on 18 April 2026 were 8, 41, 3, 18, 39 and 40, while the supplementary numbers were 32 and 13.
