An inner-city Brisbane mum has described her division one fortune as a “miracle”, explaining the timing of her Saturday Gold Lotto win couldn’t have been more perfect.
The Queensland player held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4041 on Saturday 11 April 2020. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize of $608,714.79.
Confirming her life-changing prize with an official from the Lott this morning, the woman said she checked her ticket late on Saturday night.
“Oh my gosh. I am still in shock!” she cried with disbelief.
“It’s come at the most unbelievable time, with everything going on with COVID-19. I just lost my job and I was really starting to worry.
“It’s the most fantastic thing! I am completely blown away.
“Hallelujah! This is life changing, I can say that for sure.
“I went into shock on Saturday night when I checked my ticket. I couldn’t sleep of course.
“I’ve been grinning like a Cheshire Cat ever since.
“I am feeling so grateful. This means so much to me. It’s a miracle, there’s no doubt about it!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her division one fortune, the loving mum said she’d be sharing the joy.
“I will certainly be helping out my beautiful children,” she gushed.
“They’ve also been through a lot with this pandemic.
“And I will be able to buy myself my very own home. It’s incredible.
“I can’t explain how much stress this prize dissolves. Like I said, it’s a miracle!”
The thrilled woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 18-game marked entry at Fairfield Garden News, Shop 23, Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre, 180 Fairfield Road, Fairfield.
Fairfield Garden News manager Matthew O’Sullivan said he was over the moon when he discovered his outlet had once again made one of its customers a division one winner.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4041 on Saturday 11 April 2020 were 11, 10, 14, 26, 5 and 27, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 37.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4041 – two each from Victoria and Queensland, and one each from New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 299 so far this financial year, including 77 won by Golden Casket customers.
