A Burwood shopper is celebrating suddenly becoming $200,000 richer after scratching one of the top prizes on a $15 Crosswords Book Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Burwood Rail News Pty Ltd, 164 Burwood Road, Burwood.
However, how the winner plans to spend their $200,000 instant windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Burwood Rail News Pty Ltd manager Jerry Wu said he was thrilled for his customer.
“We are all so excited that one of our customers scored such an awesome prize!” he exclaimed.
“I am looking forward to being able to tell our customers that we’ve sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its.
“They are always asking when the last time we sold a major prize was and now I can tell them it was just this week!
“Congratulations to our winner, we all hope that they really enjoy their prize.”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the Burwood winner was just one of many Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners from New South Wales in recent months.
“While we don’t know what big plans the latest Instant Scratch-Its top prize winner has with this windfall, we do know that for many of our winners, seeing that prize in their bank accounts seeds lots of wonderful possibilities,” she said.
