A Caboolture couple have admitted discovering they won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw sent them into a daze, leaving them unable to cook dinner or sleep last night.
The Queensland players scored the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1492, drawn Monday 13 July 2020.
This morning, an official from the Lott called the pair, who began laughing and clapping as their exciting news was confirmed.
“It’s just the most wonderful day!” the winning woman giggled.
“I can’t believe it! We are stunned!
“We are so glad to take your call.
“It’s so surreal.
“You buy a ticket, but you always think it’s going to be someone else. It’s incredible.
“We ordered some pizzas last night because we were so excited we couldn’t even cook.
“We will do something a bit more exciting this weekend with our family to celebrate.”
The couple said they had a restless night, worried they would wake up from an incredible dream.
“We couldn’t sleep at all last night,” the winning woman explained.
“Every time I dozed off, I would wake straight back up to check my online the Lott account. My husband was the same.
“By about four this morning, we gave up trying to sleep. We’ve just been waiting for your call.”
When asked how they intended to enjoy their unexpected windfall, the duo shared their sleepless night meant plenty of planning.
“We will do some small renovations, give some to our kids, and keep some for a rainy day,” she said.
“We have also been dreaming of going to Europe for years. Obviously, we can’t right now, but when we can travel again, we would love to do that.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.84 million for draw 1493 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.80 million for draw 10394.
