A Tuncurry man is hoping for a brighter finish to the year after discovering he scored an “overwhelming” $100,000 bounty in one of this week’s Lucky Lotteries draws.
The Mid North Coast resident won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10392, drawn Tuesday 7 July 2020.
Confirming his win with an official from the Lott this afternoon, the man explained he’d only just made the exciting discovery.
“Wonderful!” he laughed.
“Thank you. I’m very happy! I can’t believe it.
“I just waltzed into the newsagency to check my tickets, and the lady told me I’d won a big prize!
“It’s overwhelming and such fantastic news.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries for a long time, but I’m still really surprised!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the man explained his prize had no doubt turned 2020 around.
“It’s been a rough year for a lot of people, and I am really glad that I am now in a position to help some family out who need it,” he said.
“This will certainly be so helpful to a lot of people.
“Thank you so much!”
The winning entry was purchased at Tullys Tuncurry Newsagency, 68 Manning Street, Tuncurry.
Tullys Tuncurry Newsagency owner Tracey Tull said she was thrilled her winner had come forward to collect their windfall.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $4.60 million for draw 1492 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.67 million for draw 10393.
