A Cairns retiree says she’s breathless after hearing the life-changing news she won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The woman held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937, drawn Saturday 13 April February 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $574,346.76.
A Golden Casket official had the pleasure of calling the winner this morning to break the exciting news.
“Oh my goodness!” she cried with joy.
“I don’t even know if I can breathe!
“I’m all mixed up! I’m so excited!
“I’d never ever dreamt that something like this would ever happen to me!
“I’ve always hoped I’d win division one but never thought it would actually happen!
“It feels like a dream!”
The retiree revealed the life-changing news was too much to initially comprehend and she’d need some time to think about exactly how she’d use her windfall.
“My family will be so thrilled when I tell them!” she exclaimed.
“I’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto for about 30 years and I’ve won some little prizes along the way but never anything like this!
“I’ll be able to take a nice holiday around Europe.
“And I’ll have a big party to celebrate!
“I have no idea how I’ll spend the rest though. It’s just so strange this has happened to me!
“I can’t think straight! I’m just so thrilled!”
The winning 18-game entry was purchased at Nextra Earlville News, Shop 44 Stockland, 537 Mulgrave Road, Earlville.
Nextra Earlville News employee Sara-Jane Bacon said she couldn’t be happier for their customer.
“I was so excited when I discovered we had sold a division one winning entry in Saturday’s draw!” she exclaimed.
“It’s been a little while since we’d sold a major prize winning entry so it’s such great news!

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937 on Saturday 13 April 2019 were 16, 21, 18, 25, 22 and 19, while the supplementary numbers were 41 and 4.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3937, four from Victoria, two from Queensland, and one from Western Australia.
