A Canberra player is walking into the weekend with an extra $100,000 in their pocket after today discovering they won the $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize more than two weeks ago.
The happy winner scored the guaranteed 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10444 drawn Tuesday 23 February and takes home a prize of $100,000.
However, how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning ticket was purchased at Gifts n Lotto Xpress Belconnen Westfield, Shop 113 Westfield Shoppingtown, 18 Benjamin Way, Belconnen.
Gifts n Lotto Xpress Belconnen Westfield owner Dhara Patel said the team was thrilled the winner had now come forward.
“I am very, very happy!” Dhara said.
“It’s such an incredible win.
“We’ve been hoping they’d claim their prize soon, so I am glad they now have.
“Hopefully they can do some nice things with their prize.
“We can’t wait to sell another major prize!”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the winner was walking around with an extra spring in their step after making the exciting discovery.
“While we may not know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are very happy to have scored a $100,000 prize,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling as long as they can.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.76 million for draw 1523, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $3.36 million for draw 10448.
