A north-west Sydney shopper is busy making exciting plans for 2019 and beyond after scratching one of the top prizes of $1000 a week for the next five years on a $5 Live the Life Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The winning $5 Live the Life ticket was purchased at Nextra Kiosk Castle Towers, Kiosk 485 Castle Towers, 6-14 Castle Street, Castle Hill.

Who the winner is and how they plan to use their instant windfall will forever be a mystery, as the ticketholder has chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

But with their bank balance set to balloon by $1,000 every week for the next five years, the winner has an extra reason to celebrate this Christmas.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the Castle Hill win coincided perfectly with the festive season.

“Imagine heading into Christmas knowing you’ve won $1000 a week for next five years? What a way to finish 2018 and start the new year!” she said.

“One previous Live the Life winner even changed their New Year’s Eve plans at short notice and headed straight to New York when they won.

“While we don’t know how our latest Instant Scratch-Its top prize winner will use their instant windfall, in the past other Live the Life winners have gone on incredible holidays, paid off their mortgages or used their prize to set themselves up for the future.

“There are plenty of possibilities with an extra $1000 in your bank account every week for the next five years!”

Nextra Kiosk Castle Towers team member Rachel said she was excited to hear her outlet had sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its.

“We’re excited to share the happy news with all of our customers to let them know we’ve sold a winner!”

“We wish our customer all the best and hope they enjoy the festive season with their prize!”

Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.

The latest range of Instant Scratch-Its tickets are available now at NSW Lotteries outlets. It can happen in an instant. It could happen to you.
